Mrs. Barbara Giebler teaches piano and string lessons to beginner, intermediate, and advanced players. A highly accredited teacher, she is a Music Education K-12 graduate of the Crane School of Music at the State University of New York (SUNY) Potsdam with a Masters in Gifted and Talented Education from SUNY Oswego. Through the years, Mrs. Giebler has trained hundreds of students in both public and private schools, and has a lot of experience teaching private piano lessons to students of every age. On top of all this, she regularly performs and accompanies other performers as well.
Mrs. Giebler has the unique ability to work with students of varying achievement levels and different learning styles. She recognizes that all children deserve an individualized approach to lessons. With a distinctive teaching style cultivated by years of experience in the fields of general music and piano/string education, Mrs. Giebler puts an emphasis on keeping up with the current curriculum. Many of her students have achieved great success with this method; some of her students have even gone on to be professional musicians, or music teachers. Notable achievements: She played viola in the Olympic Orchestra for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies at Lake Placid, N.Y., and has played under several renowned conductors/composers such as Robert Shaw and Aaron Copland.
